MBOMBELA, SOUTH AFRICA – In a powerful convergence of ancestral legacy and modern executive leadership, Her Royal Highness Princess (Kgadi) Eurika Mogane has been announced as a recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Empowerment at the 15th Annual South African Heroines Awards (SAHA15). This induction is being hailed as a historic moment, not only for the awards but for the very definition of royal leadership in the country.
The ceremony, set to take place in the Free State, will see Princess Eurika honored alongside legendary matriarchs, including Queen Mother Mathokoana Mopeli and Her Majesty Kgosi Gaboielwe Moroka. What makes this moment particularly significant is that the Princess is one of the youngest recipients in the 15-year history of the SAHA, shattering the traditional notion that a “lifetime” of service must be measured by decades.

As a Commissioner for the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) and the Secretary General of the South African Royal Princesses Network (SARPN), she has established herself as a leading voice in governance and the formalization of rural economies.
The scale of her community impact is what ultimately led the SAHA selection committee to bestow the Lifetime honour. Key highlights of her portfolio include a massive pandemic response in 2020, where she coordinated essential relief, food, water, and clothing for over 6,000 families across Mpumalanga. More recently, in 2025, she demonstrated her commitment to sustainable economic growth by providing free professional business development support to 1,400 entrepreneurs, equipping them with the tools to enter the formal economy.
Her leadership extends through the Tharika M Group, where she manages a successful Scholar Transport system that prioritises child safety, alongside bespoke Tourism & Heritage Tours. Through Tharika M Publishing, she has also championed literary advocacy, facilitating the free publishing of over 50 women authors to ensure the voices of rural women are preserved.
This latest accolade adds to an already impressive collection of over 53 awards, including being named a Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South African (2020 & 2021), a winner of the 40 Under 40 Africa Awards, and the 31 Women of Impact Award.
