The Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature has called on members of the public, stakeholders, and interested parties to submit written comments on the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Service and Administration Law Repeal Bill, 2025 .
This call comes from the Ad hoc Committee on the Repeal of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Service and Administration Act, No. 7 of 2006, under the leadership of Committee Chairperson, Mr. FV Mlombo, MPL.
Purpose of the BillThe aim of the 2025 Repeal Bill is to officially revoke the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Service and Administration Act, 2006 and to make provision for any matters connected to its repeal. The Committee is prioritizing transparency and public participation by inviting direct input before the Bill is introduced in the Legislature.
This public consultation aligns with Section 118 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, which promotes public involvement in legislative processes, and is in accordance with the Rules and Orders of the Legislature.
